Two old farts enjoying life one day at a time!!

Hi my name is Tina and my husbands name is Tom. We are the two old farts in our mid fifties. We decided to create this blog to share our travels and weekend experiences with all of you. Yes I know why on earth would we want to do such a thing!!!! Well, now that we have raised our children and are getting ready to retire, we have decided it is time to enjoy life just a little more. Let's face it for the last 40 years or so we have been dealing with the hustle and bustle of work life and raising children. Our focus was on our careers and our children. We got lost in the so called rat race of life and not enjoying the simple things.

It is funny in life how once we have children we kind of take a back seat in our own lives. Everything becomes about them and what they want and need. Not what we want or need. How the heck did that happen? It kind of just sneaks up on you until one day you realize what the hell happened!! Come on now lets all be honest how many of you are wearing a $20 or less pair of jeans while our kids are wearing the latest trends to the tune of $50 and up. It happens to the best of us! Even outings and vacations were geared around our children.

Now that the children have their own lives, that left us looking at each other saying now what?? Well we have decided that it is finally our time to experience life how we want. Whether it is an outing for the day to a brewery ( high on the list for my husband) a road trip across Canada or just a simple dinner date and movie. We will make each trip an adventure and see what this life has to offer. I guess in a way rediscovering ourselves again! We want to share our times with you to hopefully give you a few minutes escape living through us until it is your time to start your own adventures. It may seem like it will never happen but I promise you before you know it you'll be there. While it is a little sad not having the hustle and bustle of the kids it is exciting to see what's next. Our blog will contain plenty of pictures and video of scenery, food and yes ladies shops!! Quaint little towns, country side retreats and lakeshore stops!! Are you ready?
